The university grew slowly over the next few decades, becoming a well-respected institution of learning that predominantly served students from the greater Tampa Bay area. In 1951, the university received full accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). While The University of Tampa succeeded academically, it faced intermittent financial difficulties for much of its history. These problems first surfaced in the mid-1930s, when the deepening Great Depression decreased enrollment and strained the new school's ability to educate students while maintaining its large campus and gradually converting Plant Hall's former hotel rooms into classrooms and offices. Another crisis several decades later forced a 1974 decision to fold the successful University of Tampa Spartans football program because the school could no longer afford the cost of competing in NCAA Division I-A football.

Laundry room info: - Each floor of every hostel is having a common laundry room that can be used by every student of that hostel. Kitchens are shared with 2-3 electric burners, and a microwave, where students can cook their meals whenever they want to do.
Washroom and Toilet info: - There is two washrooms in every floor of each hostel.
Boy and Girl Division info: - Boys and girls hostels are separate. Security info: - All the hostels are very safe and secure as they have security cameras in every hostel for student safety. Security staff is always there for the security of the students.
Indian Mess availability info: - Indian food is available in the mess of the hostel.
Gym info: - The university has a gym in the campus with modern machines and tools like dumbbells, treadmill, etc.
In order to make students' lives more interesting there are all conditions in the institute to conduct cultural measures.
